By far the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. I use them for everything...the beach, shopping, outdoors.... Like all shoes that get worn a lot they do wear out, but they last a whole season of wear. Totally worth the money!!!

from Bucksport, Maine on 8/27/2008I am sending along another comment, because I just cannot help myself. These Ginger Reef sandals still amaze me in their ability to fit into all aspects of my life. I find the colors on line to be absolutely true to actuality. I find this unique, as so many times the color and picture shown on many websites are so far off from the real thing, that you wonder if you have even gotten the correct item, but this never has happened with Island Surf and Reef Ginger sandals.
Another plus for the Ginger's is that they have also been absolutely right on, with the sizes. I wear between a size 7 and 8, and find that with the Ginger Reef's I can depend upon a size 7 fitting like a 7 and the same with a size 8.
I have several ruptured discs in my lower back, and had thought I would never again be able to wear flip-flops. Imagine my delight in discovering that I can still wear my Ginger Reef sandals ALL DAY LONG, without aggravating my back, and without all the other issues that every single pair of my "other" flip flops cause. So, all my "other" flip flops went to my daughter. That is, until she tried a pair of my Ginger Reef sandals, and now she has thrown out all those "other" sandals that I gave her, and is wearing a pair of my old Gingers (which really never DO wear out). My daughter had read some comments on the Island Surf website that said the black color of the footbed came off on the wearers feet. However, this has NEVER happened to me, NOR to my daughter, who is now wearing my four year old Ginger Reefs, UNTIL her new ones that I just ordered for her arrive that is. I just cannot say enough good about these sandals, and all my friends and family that have either tried mine, or bought their own feel the same way too!! Please do not EVER stop selling these terrific sandals!! My 74 year old, diabetic mom (who does not act 74, and is a very active career woman still at her age) tried my Ginger Reef's, and is wearing a pair of mine until she orders a pair for herself!!
Also, not only are the Ginger Reef sandals fantastic, but so is Island Surf!! I have never dealt with a better, more pleasant, cooperative, and yet still professional group of folks, as Island Surft have on their staff!

from Washington State on 7/26/2008Tried on the shoes, unfortunately, they were too small. I ordered an 11 womens', and they don't come any larger (in womens'). I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, so I don't have much room for error in sizing. I prefer not to order mens' sizes because I have a narrow foot, and mens' shoes are usually styled for a wider and larger foot. I also found the "contoured footbed" not very contoured, too narrow (!), plus the straps were tight and not comfy. I was disappointed and decided to send the shoes back. I might try Rainbows next...
Service was fine. Prompt delivery, package tracking was good. I would order from Island Surf again, just disappointed in the product I chose this time around.

They run small for the size, as I had to order a size larger than I normally wear. I live in Arizona where sandals are required and these can go from taking the kids to the park to a casual dinner out.

I have high arches, and these flip flops are the first to give me enough arch support. They're casual enough to wear every day, but if I want to wear them with a sundress or a skirt or something, it's totally okay to do. I've had them for a few weeks now, and so far, I have no complaints!

from Atlanta, GA on 7/17/2008I LOVE the Ginger Reefs. I have 12 pairs, I wear them all the time -- and they last forever! I've NEVER had one strap break or worn the soles off one pair of Reefs. I can't say the same for other brands.
from Rhode Island on 7/16/2008I saw my sister-in-law wearing these sandals and thought they were cheap flimsy flip flops. She kept telling me I needed to get a pair and I thought she was nuts. Finally I tried hers on and saw that I had the wrong first impression. These are very durable and comfortable and have great arch support. I have foot problems and need good arch support-especially since having babies. I have been able to wear these "flip-flops" to amusement parks with my kids and walking all day my feet were not hurting like they would have been in any other sandal or shoe. I live in these flip flops all summer. I have convinced most of my family to get them now and they all love them too. I highly recommend these to anyone with flat feet or who needs arch support in a shoe. I usually wear a 9 1/2 shoe, but in these I order a 9, so for 1/2 sizes I order down.

I got these a couple of years ago and still have them, they are the only flip flops that I have found that have arch supports which is great, I can't wear the cheap ones cause minus the arch support my feet ache haven't had a problem with these. It took no time either to get the toes use to the strap like others.

from Boston, MA. on 6/27/2008In the summertime, I live in my Reef sandals. With the thin thong strap, they can be dressed up for a shopping trip and lunch out with the girls. They are just as great for beachware and comfortable enough to wear them around the house all day long. With all that wear, they last forever. I only lost my last pair to a friend's dog who loved them as well and used them as a chew toy. I had to hit the net and order a new pair immediately. Their style, comfort and durability make my Reef sandals indispensable!
I was desperate to get my Reef sandals and spent a little extra to get them here promply. I had them within 2 days. They arrived in good condtion. All I had to do was open the package and slip them on my feet! Heaven!!!
from Virginia Beach, VA on 6/25/2008I just received these Reef Ginger flip flops yesterday and I absolutely LOVE them! The thinner strap makes them look more feminine than the other Reef styles. There is actually a decent amount of arch support too, but I'm discovering that is how most all Reef flip flops are. They are so cute and so comfy!!!

from Chicago, IL on 6/11/2008These are the ONLY sandals I wear in summer, take a few weeks to break in but once you do they mold to your feet and are so comfy. The only downside is they do wear out so you have to get new ones each year. I prefer these to the wider strap version because the straps are comfy from the start, and smaller tan lines as well. I wear them to and from work every day (not riding the El in heels) and they're small enough to throw in my bag.

My absolute favorite flip flops ever. Light comfy and very durable. The first pair I bought I wore all the time...and even after 10 years they were still very serviceable.

I have some that have lasted 5 years now and are still going strong - a record for flip-flops when you wear them almost every day! I really love the thin cloth strap on these (as compared to the thick strap on almost all others). And the bottoms mold nicely to your feet. I just bought a white pair to wear for my wedding :)
Please don't ever stop carrying these!

Oh yeah, and you bet I have my reefs with me when I get the chance to go to the beach! They're super easy to clean up as well!

Love the inner support for the foot - provides great alternative for those of us who can not wear regular flip flops because of the need for foot support and plantar faciatis. They straps rub a bit at first but not for long and not too badly.
Delivery was prompt and easy. Both the items I sent to myself and as gifts arrived on time without ANY hassle.

They are VERY comfortable, durable, go with any style, and don't turn my feet black! I have a small foot and the thinner straps look nice and do not overwhelm my foot. My only problem was choosing what colors to buy this year! I love my Ginger Reefs and would highly recommend to others!

from Northeast NJ on 4/27/2008I just returned from a vacation to South America. On my 2nd day there, my sneakers caused a HUGE blister on the top of my foot from the plastic tag inside them. Thank God I had these in my bag. They got me through the entire vacation. I walked city streets, cobblestones, everything. Although my feet got dirty, since these are flip flops, my feet were super comfortable and I didn't get any more blisters. Also, these are the first flip flops I've worn since winter and hadn't worn them before the trip. There's no break in time. highly recommended!!

The very best thing aout them, in addition to the cool thin straps and sexy look is the arch support. These are the only sandals that I know of that have such wonderful shape and support in the arch and toe. I live in them!

I discovered Ginger Reefs about three years ago & have been wearing them ever since. They are comfortable, durable as well as great looking. I own about 10 pairs in different colors. My feet love to be in Reefs, and while these aren't as comfortable as butters or loungers, they still provide the arch support you're looking for. These are more true to size than my other Reefs- I usually order a 6 and have plenty of room, but I should have gotten these in a 7.

I've gardened in these shoes, worn them daily for four summer consecutively, wornj them with business clothes, clothes for going out, and with shorts camping. buy basic black, and that gives me all the wardrobe latitude I need to wear these shoes for many different occasions.

I expect these to last for years and years just like my other 5 pair. I consider these my main shoes in warm weather and boating at the lake, so they definitely take a beating.
