Starting out as a surfboard brand, Hurley was first established back in 1979. But, it wasn't until 1998 that Hurley was born again when its creators first had the realization that a true modern "surf" brand was about so much more than just the love of surf. The love of skate, snow, music, fashion, and art also needed to be incorporated to truly satisfy the surfers and skaters of the world. This idea was the beginning of the Hurley that we know today. Focusing on freedom of expression and individualization, Hurley embodies what is it to be part of the passionate group of surfers and skaters in the world.
